World Youth FUNday 2024.
We are excited to announceĀ the 2024 theme for World Youth Sunday in England and Wales is, āLet Your Kingdom Comeā. Ā This yearās celebration is particularly meaningful as it aligns with the ongoing Year of Prayer, a time of preparation for the upcoming Jubilee Year 2025: āPilgrims of Hopeā.'
The theme āLet Your Kingdom Comeā resonates deeply with the mission of young people in the Catholic Church today. It is a call to action, inviting them to be active participants in building Godās Kingdom here on earth. It challenges them to reflect on how they can embody Christās love, justice, and peace in their daily lives, and how they can be instruments of Godās will in a world that is in dire need of hope and renewal.
Mini Vinnies had a visitor...
This weekās Faith Lunch was extra special as it was the turn of the Mini Vinnies! š We were thrilled to be joined by Margaret, a member of our parish SVP, who shared her inspiring story about the SVPāhow it all began and how we can get involved in parish life. š¬āØ
There were lots of questions, thoughtful discussions, and by the end, we came up with a fantastic action plan to show our commitment to serving others as Mini Vinnies. ā¤ļø We canāt wait to put our plans into action and make a difference!
