Curriculum

Reading

The phonics scheme we use in Early Years and Key Stage One is ‘Read, Write Inc'. The reading books the children take home are phonetic texts from the Read Write Inc scheme. KS2 children take home ‘real books’ that are suitable for their reading age.

Please visit the Oxford Owl Website on http://www.oxfordowl.co.uk. to find ebooks that can be read at home.

Writing

Year 1 to Year 6 follow Jane Considine’s ‘The Write Stuff’ approach to writing. An approach to writing that develops children’s vocabulary and sentence structure in a fun, creative, systematic way.

Please click on the links on each class page to find the information about what children are learning in class each term. If you would like any further information please speak initially to your child's class teacher.
